Dan has 40 years of experience not only helping clients with accounting, tax, and legal assistance but before he established his tax practice, he was actually second in charge of running two businesses doing over $5,000,000 a year with over 40 employees each. Dan knows what it is like to sit on the other side of the table.
Daniel J. Hoffman & Associates has been part of The Woodlands for nearly 25 years. Dan believes his team is key to his and his clients' success. Dan's associate, Samantha Garbis Goss, is a licensed attorney and has worked with Dan for over 15 years. Dan's chief accountant / office manager, Fallon Hope Miles has worked with Dan for over 10 years and is a degreed accountant.

Our accounting staff teaches people to use QuickBooks, and reviews QuickBooks data input for accuracy and to reduce audit exposure. We also do a variety of tax returns including individual and entity income tax returns, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, fuel, and excise tax returns, and property tax renditions. The Firm also represents clients in IRS, sales tax, TWC, and insurance audits. In Dan's nearly 25 years of practice, the IRS has only audited three of Dan's clients originally prepared tax returns, and the last audit resulted in a $300 refund.

Our legal staff does a variety of legal work, except for criminal and tort (accident) law.
We do all kinds of business law including entity formations (sole proprietorships, limited liability companies [LLC's], partnerships, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, professional associations, corporations, as well as other entities), related filings, tax elections and preparation of documents necessary to form and maintain the entity (company agreements, partnership agreements, by-laws, buy-sell agreements, minutes, consents to action, resolutions and other documents), preparing or reviewing employment agreements, termination agreements, commission agreements, customer agreements, vendor agreements, purchase and sale agreements (asset or stock), dissolution or termination), and final tax returns. And best of all, you get two professionals for the price of one when we do the work.

We also do commercial and transactional litigation to resolve disputes between individuals, businesses, or both including disputes involving customers, vendors, employees, products, or services. We can assist with the collection, settlement, prosecuting or defending product or service defect claims, demand letters, filing and pursuing or defending lawsuits, mediation, arbitration, and pursuing or defending collection on judgments.

We also assist clients with real estate transactions including purchases and sales, partnership agreements, preparing, prosecuting, or defending leases, prosecution and defense of evictions, prosecution and defense to remove clouds on title, and all kinds of litigation related to those activities.
