Located at 122 State Street in downtown Madison, The Fountain is a family-owned, Wisconsin-themed restaurant and bar. We are committed to comfortable atmosphere and hospitality, serving some of the best Wisconsin cuisine and drinks. Our music venue features weekly Jazz events with local musicians. The 1910 oak and mahogany bar at The Fountain was rescued from its original demolition-threatened Beaver Dam location. It was transported and reassembled at its new home in Madison in 2011. The bar was built by the Brunswick Corporation in Dubuque, Iowa, at the time the largest manufacturer of saloon bars worldwide. Thousands were made, perhaps 150 survive including the one here at The Fountain.
